Congratulations on your big day, and thank you for visiting my site! My name is Alyssa Barry, a full-time hairstylist based in Acton, Massachusetts. I'm thrilled to offer on-site services for bridal parties, formal events, and photoshoots across all of New England.
My passion for cosmetology ignited at a young age when I would break markers to color Barbie's hair. I officially began my journey as a licensed cosmetologist in 2014, and from that moment on, weddings and special events have held a special place in my heart. The incredible people I've met and the creative freedom this career offers are truly amazing gifts. I constantly strive to enhance my guests' experience and hone my skills by staying updated on the latest trends and styles.
With a style that ranges from polished and classic to boho and romantic, my goal is to make you look and feel your absolute best. I’m also excited to share that I’ve recently returned to providing makeup services after taking a break, allowing me to offer a complete beauty experience for your special day!

Average time per guest day of:
On average the time scheduled is 45 minutes to 1 hour per guest day of the wedding. Some guests take the full hour while some take less than due to hair density, length, and desired style. The hour slot is allotted so no one feels rushed and everyone gets the experience they deserve. The goal is to finish every bridal party 60 mins to 2 hours prior to the ceremony. This time allows for any touch ups or first look photos.
Styling the party:
This is YOUR day, do not forget that. You are allowed to ask your party to have their hair up, down, styled the same, or styled differently than yours. My suggestion would be to send them your top 3 favorite styles for them to pick from and you can all go from there. Simply search on Pinterest or Instagram “bridesmaid styles for wedding” or “#bridesmaidhair”, this will help everyone in the long run.
Styling the bride:
Believe it or not this is a big debate of when the bride should get ready. My recommendation is the bride should be ready prior to her makeup as the hair sprays and powders do react with one another. Day of, I and or your MakeUp Artist will work together to create a schedule that works for everyone that we will share with you prior to. All brides require a minimum of 45 minutes to get ready day of the maximum time I will schedule with you will be an hour and 15 minutes. Extension applications on wedding day are included for the bride, Extensions must be supplied by bride. (we can discuss further if you are interested in extensions during your trial). Bridal pricing includes unlimited emailing communication, customized day of timeline in coordination of makeup artist and photographer. The schedule for the day also includes touch ups for all bridal party guests. Wedding day exclusivity is also factored in as I do not take more than 1 wedding a day.
Trial/Deposit is $165 and 90 minutes
2 Service Hair & Makeup Trial is $250 and 2 Hours
Contract:
All pricing listed below is the starting price for each service. The contract that will be sent will contain all the details of pricing, travel fees, and more information. Travel fees begin at $50 and may go up due milage. If travel is further than 90 minutes from Nashua, NH hotel accommodations are required for the night prior. Trials are done at The Beauty Lounge in Acton, MA
I require a 4 service minimum for on site services
I am an independent stylist, I do not have a team of stylists. I do work closely with other freelance stylists to accommodate larger parties over 8 guests. Please note that if the bridal party is over 8 guests there will be an additional stylist fee of $200 to accommodate the extra participants.
The additional stylist fee accounts for travel expenses, lodging, and the necessary tools and products used during day of. This fee also compensates for the stylist’s time commitment, as they block off their schedule exclusively for your date. By understanding this, you ensure the highest quality service tailored to you and your party.
I do offer makeup services for small wedding parties. For weddings with larger bridal parties exceeding six or seven services, I like to prioritize hair services to ensure that everyone receives the attention and care they deserve. In these cases, I’m more than happy to refer you to talented makeup artists I trust, so you can still have the exceptional beauty experience you envision.
